Bill Homann is the guardian of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull — one of the most famous and controversial objects in the world, a life-size human skull carved from a single piece of quartz crystal that was reportedly found at the ancient Mayan site of Lubaantun in 1924. The skull has been studied by scientists at Hewlett-Packard who declared that by the laws of known physics, it should not exist — it shows no tool marks and was apparently carved against the natural axis of the crystal in a way that would cause the crystal to shatter. Homann has devoted his life to understanding and sharing the skull and its significance. Catherine Lanigan is an author and researcher who has collaborated with Homann on understanding the skull's mysteries. Together, they present two workshops at CITD 2026 on the magnetic and energetic mysteries of one of the world's most extraordinary objects.
